Shotokan Karate at Drexel

The Drexel Karate Club was founded in 1968 and has been offering traditional instruction in the art of Shotokan Karate to all members of the Drexel Community for over 40 years. From 1988 through 2012, Drexel won nineteen National Collegiate Karate Association team kata and kumite championships. With the guidance of experienced instructors and senior members, the club continues to uphold its degree of excellence and commitment to the perfection of self.

Regular club training sessions are on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Drexel University Armory. New students are welcome during the first two weeks of each school term.

Collegiate Schedule

October 4th to October 6th - North Camp at Salve Regina
November 9th - West Chester University (Tournament)

February 1st - Penn State
February 22nd - Temple University
March 21st to March 23rd - South Camp at William & Mary

ECCKU tournaments are open to all college students practicing Shotokan Karate.
Contest rules of the ISKF are used for all individual and team events
